Now I'll Begin!
2026 · Oil on canvas · 200 × 133 cm · Invisible Imprisonments
A skeletal figure is caught in a playful movement, as though finally ready to act. The determination of the title clashes with a body through which time has already passed. The promise to begin sounds both hopeful and painfully belated. Waiting can quietly become the organising principle of a life. First, one must be ready, gain permission, find security or overcome fear. The conditions change, but the beginning keeps receding. A dream itself can become something kept alive precisely by never being fulfilled.
