The strength has not disappeared, but it has no room to express itself. The slumped man’s body merges with its surroundings, carrying a tension that can no longer be distinguished from the environment that confines it. Here, the artist depicts ancient masculinity — the power to hunt and protect, held captive. Life fits into what feels like a narrow vessel. Competition, technology-mediated experience and the need to respond constantly fill the entire field of vision. A connection with nature, one’s own body and simple experiences grows ever more distant.
